Emma Kate keeps us going

Emma Kate is a busy little girl. She has taken 3 steps by herself now and pretty much keeps us running around after her and her wagon. We have had a fun few weeks with Matt's parents here for a few days (they lovingly drove our car from AL to AZ) and then lots of play dates. Emma Kate got a Radio Flyer wagon for christmas and it is perfect for helping her learn to walk. The only problem is that she can't turn it around by herself and so she constantly needs someone to turn it for her (guess who? I wish we could teach Ashton how to do it!) Anyway, Matt has been working a lot and was at the Superbowl in Phoenix. Everyone else is doing great. Abbey and Warren are looking forward to late April when their son will be arriving. She looks and feels great! Nelson and Sarah are thriving in college and enjoying all their extra activities. Mom and Dad McGough are doing well in Russia and getting to see and do a lot. I am going to post some pictures of what we have been up to.

Ela and Emma Kate love playing together!

We were sad when Aunt Sarah had to go home

Emma Kate had a birthday party to attend at a neighbor's house so we took the wagon!

Aimee took us to the rodeo and we had a blast!

Emma Kate's favorite thing to do is eat! She is such a big girl as she drinks milk from a cup and eats everything I give her (not usually whole breadsticks!)

Thelma and Louise are going on their next adventure

Emma Kate and Ashton enjoyed a cherrios snack during the Superbowl

We had a play date with our friend Michael

Emma Kate did great in the 5k/10k race that we did with our friends Trey and Milena. She even won a medal!

Busy Christmas!

So, as you can tell (from the lack of posts) we had a busy Christmas and New Years. Emma Kate and I were in Birmingham for three weeks and Matt came for a little over a week around Christmas and New Years. Once we got back from Birmingham my sister Sarah came out to Yuma for a visit for a week and a half. We had a lot of fun but I didn't realize how the month of January is flying by. Our holidays were great and we were able to spend a lot of time with Mom and Dad McGough before their Russia adventure. We got to see Abbey and Warren for 3 days over the holidays. Abbey is looking so cute pregnant and we can't wait to meet their little baby boy in a few months. Over the holidays Matt's brother and his family have moved to Yuma. We are so excited to have family just a mile down the road. Matt is staying extremely busy with work and I am busy making Emma Kate dresses and assisting a friend in teaching middle school physics. We stay busy! We enjoyed getting to see some of you over the holidays and love hearing all the updates. I will make a point to update the blog more often!

Some of our team members

Emma Kate was a trooper as she opened a multitude of gifts and loves everyone of them (she scatters them across the living room!)

Gigi and Daddy Mac got her a puppet show circus kit

Aunt Abbey and Uncle Warren got her a Radio Flyer wagon to help her learn to walk

(She walked everywhere with it, we are getting it in Yuma this weekend and I know she is going to be so excited to see it!)

We loved getting to see Kyle!

They have burp clothes and so they are officially soon-to-be parents! (haha!)

Emma Kate and Nelson were discussing the trouble with having long hair in your eyes (haha, Nelson got a hair cut not long after this picture was taken...much better!)

We were sad to leave but after three weeks we were ready to come home! (4 a.m. and everyone got up to see us off)

Emma Kate's favorite game!

Happy Halloween

While I have a few pictures of our trip to the Southeast I want to wait to post them until I get them all organized. I do want to put up some pictures from Halloween. Emma Kate was a chili pepper and did not like her costume very much. She is starting to pull up on things and the chili pepper was too constricting on her feet. It was also a little warm. Those are our friends Michael (the pea pod) and Alli. We will post trip pictures soon!
