Sip n See and Telegraph Pass

Monday was one of those days that I strangely enjoy even though it was non stop. In the morning I had a doctor's appointment and so Matt took the morning off to help me with the kids. The doctor was running late but to be honest it was wonderful to have 30 minutes of complete silence. In the afternoon I cleaned out closets because we are having a yard sale in a few weeks. I was putting away all the maternity clothes and decided that I needed to get rid of a lot of stuff. Once I finished my closet I moved on to Emma Kate's. Hers desperately needed organizing since she has had a growth spurt in her height. Fortunately, I was able to get both kids down for a short nap at the same time and do a lot of the organizing, but Emma Kate woke up before I was able to put everything away. Lets just stay the mad dash to hang everything started when she woke up. So that was our exciting Monday!

On Sunday afternoon we hiked a hill (mountain for those in Yuma) called Telegraph Pass. It is a pretty steep hike and definitely gave me a good workout since I haven't really done anything active since Mason was born. We went with our friends Kris, Ali, and Michael Harris. Matt and Kris carried Emma Kate and Michael in backpacks and I carried Mason in the Bjorn. The only scary part was when a cricket flew up in my face and then went down my shirt. I was trying to be brave since I didn't want to give my four week old shaken baby syndrome. We had a great time and I know that we will be doing it regularly. Here are some pictures of the journey!

On Saturday our friends Aimee and Kirsten threw Mason and I a sip and see. It was so much fun and the food was wonderful. We are so fortunate to have friends that feel more like family here in Yuma.

Play Where's Waldo while you look for the men!
The ladies and Mason (yes...he could breathe)

The sip and see
Aimee and Jackson (Jackson and Mason are 8 weeks apart and so we will be having lots of play time together)
Laura and Mason (The Dunn family has been so good to make us feel like apart of their family)
The food was excellent and Kirsten has a beautiful home
