We haven't been doing a whole lot of new or exciting things. The kids are growing up so fast and we have progressed into a good routine of eating and naps. We also have our playgroups and lunchdates that keep us busy. Ela came to play for a few days last week and ever since then Emma Kate asks me multiple times throughout the day if "Ena goes my house?"
Mason is sitting up pretty well and eating A LOT! He loves food and is most always a bottomless pit. Emma Kate is into everything and very preoccupied with the potty. She is showing interest in the potty and we have made several attempts but she isn't quite ready to go full steam ahead. She is very independent and I am sure, as with everything else, she will tell me when she is ready.

I can't believe that Emma Kate will be turning two at the end of the month. It just doesn't seem possible. I am going to post pictures now because I think that nap time is coming to an end!

Happy Birthday Daddy Mac

My cousin took this picture of my Dad a while ago, but I came upon it just recently. I really love my family and there are so few pictures of my Dad that showcase his genuine loving spirit and joy. Love you Dad and Happy Birthday. Thanks Adam for taking such a wonderful picture.

Lots of pictures

We have been doing a lot since I posted last so I am going to just put a lot of pictures up and add a comment with the picture. Also, take a look at the new videos I posted on the toolbar at right.

Now that Mason is eating baby food Emma Kate loves feeding her baby.

We do live in the desert, but the nights are nice and cool. Recently we have been having fires in out fire pit. We love being outside with the kids and enjoying our backyard.

Daddy had the cutest valentine! Daddy got Emma Kate a pink rose and it went beautifully with the flowers that I received.

Again, Emma Kate REALLY enjoys feeding babies (don't worry, there is nothing in the container or spoon)

Mason is 5 1/2 months old. Where has the time gone?
Emma Kate has now moved to a big girl bed. She loves it! She sleeps really well and enjoys being a big girl!
Ever since Emma Kate has been in her big girl bed she has been sleeping with a pillow. Welcome to the world of hair brushing! Business in the front...see below.

... Party in the back!

She just fell asleep mid play. It takes a lot if energy to be Emma Kate!

New Gadget

I have found a new gadget that is great for uploading videos! I still like blogging because it allows me to write a lot of text. I hope that you enjoy the videos and pictures!

Another picture

I just found this picture from Christmas. I love it. We love our parents and are so fortunate that they are so involved and loving towards our kids. Love you and miss you!

Good Friends

We have been blessed with some great friends here in Yuma. Michael and Emma Kate really enjoy playing together. The other day when we left the play gym they held hands and didn't want to let go. We have since played together and they wanted to hold hands. So cute!

We have had a rough few days as Emma Kate has a stomach bug. She and Matt have both been feeling under the weather and I am trying to keep Mason and I from catching it. We hope that anyone who is feeling bad gets to feeling better soon!

Nice January

While I know that most of you are having a cold January right now we are having a very pleasant January. We are taking advantage of our nice temperatures as we know that this summer we will not have that privilege. We have been playing at the park and in the backyard. Matt has been out of town for the week and the kids have been well behaved. Mason had his 4 month checkup today and weighs 13 and 1/2 pounds. He is getting to be a big boy and is enthralled with Emma Kate. She took her doctor kit with us and was pretending to give Mason shots and listen to his heart. She kept telling everyone bye bye when they would leave the room. She was concerned when Mason got his shots but overall they were great (we were in the room for over an hour). Matt gets home tomorrow and we are excited about seeing our Daddy. We hope that everyone stays warm and know that I will not be bragging about our weather this summer!
Emma Kate has been talking A LOT since we got back from Christmas. I think that being around all the conversations helped her vocabulary. Recently she has been saying the darnedest things.
- Whenever Mason spits up she says " Oh goodness Mason" with an inflection right in the middle of goodness
-we got a garmin for Christmas and now when we are in the car she says "turn right Mommy, turn right Mommy" she repeats just like the lady on the garmin

There are other things that I will try and remember but I am going to bed!
